Planting your own crops is one of the environmental-friendly practices that carries various benefits for the health of people and the environment. It saves your money and effort than going to the market to buy fruits and vegetables. Gardening is a hobby that can reduce stress and provide nourishment of the plants. You will ensure that the crops you harvest are safe and clean to eat. It is due to the fact that some of the vegetables and fruits you see in the market have been sprayed with a chemical substance called pesticides. Research found that a more increased amount of pesticides of food can result to health problems such as cancer, autism, and kidney and lung diseases (Budhiri, 2018). It is healthier that your crops are organic to prevent those infectious illnesses.

In line with the environmental benefits, air pollution and carbon footprints diminished. It produces clean air and better soil formation as it cleanses the soil. It also supports sustainable agriculture for the economy, even in your home. Start planting! Be the same with your Plantito and Plantita, and you will harvest a positive contribution to Mother Nature.

Let us strive to motivate and inspire others to continue bringing awareness to people and taking action for the sustainability of the Philippines and all over the globe. Do not just read this but also act for a greater life for the next generation.
